Philippine Nursing Research Society Inc.

We are very pleased that the Philippine Nursing Research Society has finally come to fruition as an offshoot to the 1st National Nursing Research Conference (General Santos City), 2nd National Nursing Research Conference (Cagayan de Oro City) and 3rd National Nursing Research Conference (Iloilo City). This year we will have our 4th conference at Clark, Pampanga.

Truly, nursing research has come to age in the Philippines. Aside from the Society being incorporated (SEC CN 200831557) in November 2008 and now enjoys a legal status, we also make sure that collaboration among nurses researchers in the country must be heightened at this point of time. So the natural inclination is to have our presence felt -- virtually.

We now have our official website at http://www.pnrs.net.

Definitely, this site will be a major resource for nursing research stakeholders in the Philippines. We would like to envision it as a work-in-progress.We hope that you be of help to the growth of this Society in the near future.

Purposes

1. Promoting recognition of nursing as a scientific discipline
2. Linking nurses with similar interest on nursing and nursing related thrusts in the academe and health care setting
3. Providing a forum for dissemination and critique of nursing research, publication, continuing education and training.
4. Fostering ethical standards in research in nursing with particular focus in the academe and health care setting.
